My Thoughts on Pattern

For this week's design activity, we were instructed to devise a single element, such as a dot, diamond, squiggle, square or motif and copy and repeat the element in columns or rows to make an overall pattern on a sheet of paper. We either had to carve an image into a potato or use one of the wooden block patterns provided in class. In my case, I decided to use both as a means of design. I used white paint on a white background because I thought it had a very professional feel to it. Overall I enjoyed this assignment because it brought me back to Art Class when I was in Elementary School.
